Q.I am a 45 year old male and have been on the prescription of Nexium since 2007. It is the only drug prescribed to control heartburn. I had a stomach condition recently, which was caused by taking Nexium. I was going through a period of treatment with my gastroenterologist (a doctor). I was prescribed Nexium with no results. I have been on Nexium for over a year and I have not experienced any side effects. I am now taking the prescription of Prilosec, a new brand of Nexium called Nexium 24HR. I am a 30 year old female with chronic heartburn and I have tried other treatments, like Nexium but they don't work for me. I am still not experiencing side effects. I am not sure if Nexium has a side effect.
So, I am taking Prilosec and it is causing me to suffer from my heartburn. I am not sure if I have been taking this medicine for a long time and am on a different form of medication. My doctor has prescribed me the Prilosec as a long term therapy for my heartburn. My current prescription is a 5 day course. I am taking Prilosec on my own and it works wonders. But it does not work for me.
My heartburn is really bad right now, my blood pressure is not good. I am also on Prilosec and it is causing some serious heartburn.
